HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED
During the upcoming holiday season, we will be helping several families from our adopted school, Hall’s Cross Roads Elementary. This week, tags for presents will be on the “Christmas Ficus Trees” in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall with items to purchase for the family members for Christmas. Please purchase the item, wrap it and return it to Grace Church by or on Sunday, December 16. Please place the tag with the person’s name and gift number on the outside of the package. Thank you for your support of reaching out to our neighbors to make their holidays happier.
GROWING DISCIPLES CLASS
Do you like what you see at Grace UMC? Want to know more about us and get plugged in and involved? Join us on December 2nd & 9th for our Growing Disciples Class. In this two-session class, we’ll cover how the United Methodist tradition originated, the meanings behind our faith, and the ministries we have at Grace that you can both benefit from and participate in. The class is scheduled from 5-6:30pm both Sundays. Let us know if you would like to take advantage of our childcare during the class sessions. Contact either Anne Payne (AnnePayneGUMC@gmail.com) or Pastor Bob about being a part of this class.
OUT TO LUNCH BUNCH
Our monthly gathering of this informal fellowship group will be on Friday, December 14 at 11:30 a.m. at The Olive Tree in Aberdeen. Everyone is invited to join this group for fun, fellowship and lunch. If you plan to attend, please sign up on the bulletin board by Sunday, December 2.
SCHOOL KITS FOR CALIFORNIA
The recent devastation of several communities in California due to wild fires has left many school children and their families without a home or their belongings. You may choose to donate individual items or put together a complete kit. This is another outreach ministry of our church family which will benefit the lives of those in need. Please bring in items/kits by Sunday, December 30. You support is most appreciated.
