HANDS HELPING OTHERS (H2O)
We're beginning a new congregational ministry at Grace! In order to help those in our church family who are in need of assistance with light house or yard work, transportation, etc., we are assembling a volunteer base. If you are interested in being a part of this very needed ministry, please fill out this survey or send an email to [email protected] and tell us, in general, what days and times you're usually available should we need your help. For example, if you indicate you're usually available Tuesday afternoons, theoretically, you may get a call from our H2O coordinator, Jackie Dennis, asking if you can take someone from our church family to a doctor’s appointment that they have scheduled for a Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for your help & support! If you have a need for this kind of service and you're a part of our church family, look for the business cards for our H2O messaging system which are now available at the church. You may now call that number (410-272-8110) and leave a message with your name, contact info and the help you are requesting. Then you will be matched with one of our H2O volunteers.
DIABETIC SUPPORT GROUP
Grace Church is currently hosting the Aberdeen area Diabetic Support Group on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. All interested persons are invited to join in the group which discusses many aspects of being diabetic or pre-diabetic. When you attend these meetings, please enter the building via the double glass doors located by the Coffee Bar (Bel Air Avenue side). Need more info? Contact Rose Lyman, our Parish Nurse.
TECH TEAM
Are you “Techy”? We are looking to start a Tech Team to handle the media during the 9:30 worship service. You would serve on a rotating basis once every 6 weeks or so. If you are interested, please see Joy Payne.
FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS
We are in need of more helpers with the Grace Food Pantry. The commitment is once every five weeks on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. If you can help with distributing food to those in need, please contact the church office - 410-272-0909.
CHILD CARE
We provide child care in the Child Care Room (across from the Church Office) for young children (infant to age 2) during the 9:30 AM Service each Sunday. There are 2 adult attendants present each week. All other children are invited to attend age level Sunday School following the opening of the Contemporary Worship Service in Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in volunteering in the Child Care Room, please contact the Church Office.
