A Note From the Pastor
Welcome to Grace United Methodist Church!
Jesus told his disciples that they should "love God with all of their being and that they should love their neighbors in the same way that they love themselves" (Matthew 22:36-50 paraphrased). That is how we seek to do ministry at Grace Church. Our ministry is also grounded in the understanding that "whatever we do, in word or in deed, we will do it in the name of our Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God through him" (Colossians 3:17 paraphrased). I invite you to peruse our website with the assurance that we are guided by God’s love in all our ministry endeavors.
Just as our church has chosen its foundational scriptures of Matthew 22:36-40 and Colossians 3:17, I have a foundational scripture that guides my understanding of ministry: Jesus told his followers that "he came that they might have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10 paraphrased). That has been my goal throughout my spiritual journey. Life is such a precious gift from God. My ministry has been guided by my desire to live the abundant life NOW. As the Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, I hope to instill that same zeal and passion into the lives of the individuals and ministries of Grace Church. I invite you to come and join us as we live the abundant life God promises to everyone.
