Volunteers in Mission
The Volunteers in Mission team (VIM) provides a week of service to local and out-of-state projects on an annual basis. In 2000 and 2003, the team worked through the Bennett Center in London, Kentucky. In 2004, 2005, and 2006 they worked on projects at the church and in the local community, and in 2007 and 2008 they worked through the Robeson County Church and Community Center in Lumberton, NC. While in Lumberton, the Grace VIM team, made up of 24 youth and adult volunteers, built two wheelchair ramps, performed exterior house repairs including roof and front porch repairs, provided interior framing for a new community center, and designed and painted a mural for a child care room within the new community center.
